About me

Ex-CTO, SaaS founder. Hands-on again today.

I am Henrik Lippke, a creative technologist from Hamburg. I have built and led tech teams, founded my own products, and today I build again myself: automation with n8n, data flows and AI that runs in daily business.

Henrik Lippke

More than 15 years of professional software development, from hands-on coding to leading a tech organisation. As Head of Technology at a Hamburg fintech I built a team of around 50 people across three locations while the company grew from 5 to more than 200 employees. So I know both sides: building things myself and enabling others to build.

After that I built a start-up as co-founder and CTO and founded my own SaaS products, which I still build and operate on AWS myself today. That shapes how I work: I want systems that run in production, not slides that look good.

Today I work with TechnologyCircle in two directions. On one side, automation with n8n, data and Claude in enterprises, most recently banking connections and SAP integrations. On the other side, special projects directly with the C-level: when things need to move fast, nobody knows yet what exactly is needed, or a technical topic is stuck. There I do not just advise, I build.

Technically I have been working cloud-native on AWS for more than ten years, with Node.js and TypeScript, from frontend through serverless and containers to operations and monitoring. I like owning a system end to end rather than just one layer of it.

How I work

Three things you can count on.

01

I do not just advise. I build.

You get no intermediary and no strategy deck, but the person who writes the code and brings the workflows to production.

02

Handover instead of dependency

Documentation, naming conventions, review process, training. The goal is that your team can do it themselves afterwards and only calls me when it is worth it.

03

If it does not fit, I say so

Some processes belong in classic code, some in a product that already exists, some should be left alone. I sell solutions, not a tool.

Milestones

From raw sockets in C to AI agents in production.

  1. 2024

    TechnologyCircle and own products

Automation with n8n, data and AI for enterprises. Alongside, CustomJS and loopthink.ai, which I build and operate on AWS myself.

  2. 2022

    Co-founder and CTO, Smace

Start-up for digitising workflows that involve many people. Business angel round in early 2023.

  3. 2015

    Head of Technology, Exporo

Joined as the first developer, then built and led the entire software development department: around 50 people across three European locations, while the company grew from 5 to more than 200 employees.

  4. 2012

    Freelancer in the agency world

Several years of software development for large international brands.

  5. 2007

    University of the Arts Bremen

Studied digital media. In parallel, interactive installations for automotive showrooms and trade fairs, and light shows for musicians I toured the world with.

  6. 2000

    The beginning

Learned to program Unix raw sockets in C as a teenager and published my first scripts and tutorials internationally.

Own products

I do not only build for clients, but also for the market.

Building and operating tools for n8n, Make and AI agents yourself means knowing the ecosystem from the inside, including its limits and how to work around them.

  • CustomJS

JavaScript with NPM modules, PDF generation and screenshots right inside your n8n or Make workflow. Several thousand users, operated by me on AWS.

  • loopthink.ai

MCP platform for enterprises: expose internal tools, APIs and data to AI agents in a controlled way, with workspaces, permissions and SSO.
